Since 2009, The Nation of Patriots has worked directly with the Milwaukee VA Hospital to find and financially help struggling families of wounded veterans.  Here's a look back.

Nation of Patriots Giving Back in 2011

With the help of thousands of proud American's acroos the country, The Nation of Patriots raised $10,000!  Working with the Milwaukee VA hospital we gave 7 families $700 Walmart gift cards each and had a ceremony in their honor right before Christmas.

We were also able to help a most deserving family from South Dakota.  With the help of Bob Hoffman, the American Legion Riders, and the local Hy-Vee grocery store we put on a wonderful celebration.

December 18th 2010

The Nation of Patriots successfully raised $3,500 throughout the course of the year and worked witht the Milwaukee VA Hospital to find 5 struggling families of wounded veterans to give each $700 gift cards to Wal-Mart on December 18th.  It was an amazing day as we shared with each family stories and pictures of the 2010 Patriot Tour.   Donations came in from around the nation as word of the Patriot Tour spread.  Though we did not create the Patriot Tour as a fund raising event, many Americans heard of our organization through its workings and felt compelled to donate to our cause.

The original Patriot Tour set out to raise money to support wounded veterans and their families.  It was a discovery year and since then, many things have changed, but we did manage to raise a small amount in donations.  $2,100 was the grand total and we reached out to the Milwaukee VA Hosptial to help us find deserving families to receive the money.  We were able to help 3 families by providing each a $700 gift card to Wal-Mart right before Christmas.  We were there to personally meet each family and explain where the money came from and why they had been selected to receive it.  The emotions and pride that came away from that day are what motivated the directors of the Nation of Patriots to revamp the Patriot Tour and come back bigger and stronger in 2010.
